At Semiox revision is done by subject matter experts. Many experts revise only occasionally. They don’t want to deal with the complexity of a CAT tool. Instead, they need a minimalistic online revision editor, which doesn’t require training or installation.

The Semiox revision editor replaces the cluttered source/target language tables with a tidy document view. Revisers work primarily in the translated document. Source language text is only displayed on demand.

Similar to the review mode of Word revisers are guided from one issue to the next. In the side bar the revision editor explains the potential problem. Corrections are suggested. Available terms are displayed and they link to the respective nodes in the knowledge graph.

In most cases revisers simply select from a few options such as confirming the machine translation or accepting a proposed correction. Typing is error-prone and thus avoided as much as possible.
